Character was the overriding failure that season. For SAFC? We were f***ing dreadful that season
Aye you’re right in a way but the squad then compared to now, even in terms of characters let alone ability, is a million miles away.

This is goldAnd how many years did it take you to rise to the top of League One?
In fact, you weren't ever at the top were you? Didn't you sneak up via the play-offs?
Massive club though.
Chill out. We had a few utterly shite years, the club was at its lowest ebb. But we got out of there eventually and last season and this season we’re playing excellent football. And how many years did it take you to rise to the top of League One?

How can they look at their team and think it's close to ours? They seem to be a bit gutted on how we’re looking.

Genuinely never heard of any of them …How can they look at their team and think it's close to ours?
How many of them would have started for us at Blackburn? Nevermind if Ekwah, Cirkin, Alese or Rusyn were available.

I’m just really pleased, we’ve got such a good team/squad/manager and culture at the club now.
Long May it continue
I think Fry, Lenihan, Crooks, McGree and O'Brien are handy players, but I think Ballard, Pritchard, Clarke and Neil are definitely better and O'Nien probably is equivalent to Fry.Genuinely never heard of any of them …

Goalkeepers even more than that. We'd have come about 16th with a half decent one.Character was the overriding failure that season.
We were without Forss the other night, who is a decent player at this level, and I rate our RB Djiksteel, although Carrick doesn't seem to and has preferred Tommy Smith over him.How can they look at their team and think it's close to ours?

Losing Akpom, Ramsey and Archer has really fkd you up.We were without Forss the other night, who is a decent player at this level, and I rate our RB Djiksteel, although Carrick doesn't seem to and has preferred Tommy Smith over him.
Jones also should have started the other night. Think you could easily make a case for him being good enough to start in a Sunderland team at present.
They're big misses for sure but we shouldn't be where we are in the table with the squad we have.Losing Akpom, Ramsey and Archer has really fkd you up.
You are where you are cause ATM your shiteThey're big misses for sure but we shouldn't be where we are in the table with the squad we have.
Carrick needs to forget about bedding in most of the new signings for now and pick the players who were with us last season.
Not sure many would get on our bench. How can they look at their team and think it's close to ours?

You imploded last year. And the start of this. Maybe it’s a boro thing….Fair enough but it sounds similar to his first year at Boro. Came in and steadied the ship after Strachan, gave youngsters a chance and unearthed some gems in the transfer market, then midway through his first full season in charge we imploded.
We were better second half of the season last year never got beat from end of February a don’t thinkStill very early days. Think ourselves and Sunderland will both end up being midtable come the end of the season to be honest.
Sunderland have started well but how many times have Mowbray teams imploded 2nd half of the season.
