Really doesn’t feel like it’s still the cricket season - the Ashes seems like it was years ago for one and on top of that, it just seems as though we really ought to have been done and dusted weeks ago. The weather has been absolute garbage for the majority of the summer in terms of a ‘summery feel’. Oddly enough we’ve probably done better than most from a getting the game played perspective.

Still determined to make the most of what’s left, bit of time off this week so will try and take in as much as I can amidst the work I’ve got going on in the house. Pencilled in for all of the Leicestershire game atleast, provided the weather plays ball.

We've been fortunate for our red ball home games. Even had two games (Glam & Sussex) where the sun shone throughout.

Does the ECB need to look at the number of overseas players a club is using throughout the season?

I cant keep track of Durham's let alone the other 17 counties. When I see a lad turning out for Durham I want them to do well but looking at the Sri Lankan we have in the squad, surely the idea of an overseas is to be better than what you have and to be fully invested in the county for a full stint all summer

We had intended to sign Murphy for the season but he got called up by Australia. Then instead we got Kunhemann, but he got injured. So we had intended to use an overseas spinner and Bedingham as our two for the entire season.

Your allowed 2 in the side at any one point.

Most internationals can't play all season on a count of them being international players. Hope this also helps.

Also in what how are McAlindon or Robinson better. As they would be the lads getting a chance if we hadn't signed him. Ditto when we signed Pretorius.
