I don't agree with much of this.

What happened to Durham was not right and so is some of this. The guilty ought to be punished of course but fans and players should not and the target of any sanctions should be the directors imho, fine them directly and ban them.

I was being sarcastic. Graves should've declared an interest ( having a £20m financial investment in a rival club) and withdrawn completely from any discussions on Durham sanctions.
 
I doubt there is anyone left in cricket who doesn't think that what the ECB did to Durham was nothing short of a disgrace and I accept the point (although it sticks in my craw) that two wrongs don't make a right, but why can't the ECB at least go some way to righting that wrong? Bostock would tell you that they did, behind the scenes, but that's just hooey from a guy who when he said it thought that he was in the running for a top ECB job. Nobody can wind back the clock, but reparations could be forthcoming. How about another ashes test at the Riverside or some other showpiece event? Not only would these bring in welcome money, but they would also make a statement, an acknowledgement from the ECB, about how badly wrong they got it in 2016
