Great player for us but I hope he has a stinking time at Southampton, why would I want another Championship clubs player to be a success when we hopefully might be competing against them for the top six.

Well said. He’s a very very good player. One of the best we’ve had for a long time. Yes there’s a question over his fitness but I cannot believe we haven’t been able to keep him here.
I wish him well.
 
Can't blame the lad. I'd blame our owners for not paying him what he wants like. But decent deal for all involved really - as long as we can get someone in tomorrow.

8m plus 2m. I'm aware you're putting a negative slant on it and calculating all the various sell on fees as if every transfer fee lands straight in the selling club's bank without any of it going anywhere else but that isn't how it works.

We've earned a hefty profit on a player who doesn't even play for us because he's always injured.

Gan support Chelsea if you just want endless funds punted on shit.
