Russell Martin has Ross Stewart as his main target **Transfer confirmed **

Get him out asap. For as much as possible

of course this will lead to a panic buy but as it stands, it couldnt be much worse than the centre forward options that are currently available

Stewart though yes injured, has shown no concern for signing for safc for over 12 months
Can’t really do both of those though

How can you not get the concept that he may simply not want to stay here and wishes to go elsewhere?

We cannot force him to sign at gunpoint if he doesn't want to. He is not playing in North Korea FFS.

You ask who could we get better for the money.

Well Piroe joined Swansea for £1m and Gyokores joined Coventry for the same price. But the thing is, you would be absolutely guaranteed to be kicking up a fuss on here if we signed a 21 year old with a 1 in 4 record in the Dutch second division like Piroe, or a 21 year old with 0 goals in 11 games in the Championship like Gyokores had before joining Coventry.

I will ask you the same question then re our permanent foreign signings…. How many of them have made a significant contribution to the first team, None. I have on several occasions complimented the recruitment team in regards to the young British lads we have signed, this obsession that we have to sign young untried foreign kids v home grown talent doesn’t stack up

You said its a "disgrace" if we won't offer him 20k.

Who said we haven't offered 20k? You have no idea what he's asking for and just let your mouth get carried away.

You're completely making up scenarios. The burden of proof should be on you plucking numbers out of thin air and not me for asking where you got them from.

Thick as mince
Ignore him mate he's a nob

Yeah let’s just sell the best CF for peanuts that’s brilliant business. Let’s bring in yet another foreign kid, tell me which foreign permanent signing that we have made over that last two seasons has made any real significant contribution to the first team? We are hoping a lad from the Ukraine who isn’t an out and out CF will be the answer. Billionaire owner 40k every week and we aren’t prepared to keep the best CF we have had for a long time.
I haven't debated any of that. I'm debating the made up figures posted on here as fact.

8m is good business for a lads that’s missed 51 games in 3 seasons and has missed a total of 369 days through injury.

He has been unavailable for 37 of our last 50 games and started only 11 of them.

Yet some on here would be happy to gamble the farm on him with a 5 year deal on £40,000-£50,000 a week.

I think Stewart is a really, really good player but when you see someone like Piroe going for £12m, Stewart's injury record and his obvious want to leave and go elsewhere, £8m would significantly soften the blow IMO.

So is your " we won't get promet comment" all just your opinion.
It is but that's just an opinion. That's different to several people posting that Stewart only wants 25k as a fact.

That's not an opinion being given, they're saying it as a fact. Do you not see the difference like

Bored of it, take the best deal offered and move on.
Can’t wait to hear everyone congratulating each other for clapping him when we play them.
It is grim reading and we ve been held hostage by Stewart for over a year now.....it has stopped any plans the club had. We will look back at Stewarts era as a bad one im afraid
I don’t disagree. But I don’t hold any player as some kind of hero. It always ends in disappointment that way.

This 40,000 every week keeps getting bandied around

First of all it is obviously not EVERY week

Let’s assume averaging season tickets and youth/age discounts out it is roughly £20 a head

23 home matches a season gives around £20 million

Southampton got around £50 million for Lavia alone - at a guess around £150 million incoming this summer

Then parachute money - not sure but think it’s around £100m by now over three years (if they don’t go up)

Their average attendance is let’s say 30,000 so if their ticket prices are the same they are £5m light of our ticket revenue - but my guess is their ticket price will be higher in a more affluent area

Of course they will be weighed down by any players still on Prem wages to some extent but they are

£5m down on ticket sales

But

£150m up on player sales
£50m up on parachute payments this season alone

Or their turnover will be about six times ours

That’s why there is such a chasm between PL and the rest

They might know though.

Yeah 8 million with no add ons is fine.

Add ons are pointless if he’s as crippled as everyone has decided he is.

Not sure, that promotion season in league one he was unbelievable and repaid the money we spent on him with the winner at Wembley.

He is looking for one big contract to set his family up, and we aren't dishing them bad boys out anytime soon.
