South North on Thursday (vs. Somerset)

Insurance ? Strange one that
Not from the professional cricketer’s perspective. it’s how they put bread on the table after all. Someone has to cover their lost earnings if they get injured. If it happens playing for Durham it looks like that has to be Durham as the Popchips insurance won’t cover them. Not on its face unreasonable, but it probably makes selecting them unrealistically expensive.

Not what I was told by a very good source in reference to one Durham player. My view is some players don't want to play in this county competition

Or maybe they just don't want to play and it's nothing to do with insurance
I share their view. Wouldn't want to risk Potts and Raine in this competition even if they hadn't been selected for Graves folly. Month's rest, which is what they're having, and they return refreshed for the CC.
And £30k holiday money banked.

It doesn’t matter generally. Good for players to play men’s cricket. Remember Potts joining up late when he burst onto the scene at 18

I agree, but my point was that as he is the u19 captain, it’s more likely that England would want him with their squad?

And also bear in mind that none of our 4 away games are exactly on the doorstep, so a lot of trashing around the country.
