Mowbray

So why does the manager insist on having hume move into midfield? Offering no protection behind Roberts then?

Leading to the goal like today when ballard has a man over on his right who ends up scoring?

Why doesn't Mowbray keep hume wide to help Roberts and offer some protection if Roberts losesthe ball and doesn't want to defend like you claim?

Like I said, some of these problems are completely down to the manager.
Partly because we are trying to shore up the midfield and it's not working, partly because we have too many attack minded players

But that just moves the problem to the right surely?

He should just pick a central midfield 3 and control the game. Fuck knows why he thinks jobe is a number 10, he looks nothing like one.

Hed be better off putting o'nien into the midfield and bringing the Australian or Batth in.

It'll be all over social media next week. 'The gaffer with his jaffas'.

Aye thats canny. Any chance he can sort a clean sheet out please?
Agree with you about sorting the defence out, but to have a go at him over something we’ve all had a light hearted laugh about because it shows he has some personality in a game dominated by boring robots, just because we aren’t doing very well at the minute, makes us look a bit petty and childish imo. I’m fairly sure him having a biscuit doesn’t change his ability to sort our defence one way or the other.

It's was a light hearted title.

I do think the media should concentrate on asking him about the system and defending rather than his favourite chocolate though.

Which midfield 3? Ekwah, Neil and?
Then if ones injured or not playing well he replaces them with ?
Hes got the option of o'nien into the midfield.

He could bring jobe back as he looks a box to box midfielder to me. We undoubtedly need another midfielder, 100%. But the manager needs to engage his brain and not just ignore the problems.

And he would get battered for playing 09 in midfield.

The squad isn't balanced and a new manager or TM will struggle unless we get reinforcements

Fair enough. Aye, imo we can’t afford to lose Batth and he needs to be in the team. Yes we’re woefully short up front and it’ll be inexcusable from those above Mowbray if we don’t bring in another striker or two asap, but it’s worrying how much and how easy we’re shipping goals at the minute.

So we just keep doing the same things and don't even try? The 2 goals today are laughably similar to last week.

The first goal people calling 'flukey' is anything but luck when it happens 2 weeks in a row.

He just needs to improve the team off the ball, that's literally his job.

Hes lost the plot week. His interviews alone have consisted of having 90 minutes transfer talk with speakman to allegedly no say

Improve with what? Magically turn players into players they aren't and never have been?

Hes a coach not God

Bang on. He deserves far more questions than he's getting with the set up and tactics.

Why is hume going into midfield and Roberts is left up against 3 players all by himself? When he loses the ball, they get a 2nd in the gap left by hume.

It's f***ing comical how bad the coaching is.

Hume is meant to be coming inside to sit with Ekwah but Ekwah goes walkabout and instead of the defence shifting over Cirkin bombs on down the left so we end up all over the place.

I don’t know who much is down to Mowbray or how much is down to the players being stupid but it doesn’t just leave us shorter wide (5 on two banks should be enough to deal with that) it leaves us short in the middle with Ekwah wrong side and Hume on his heels which is worse.

Hes got the option of going to a back 3 like we did alot of times last season to give a stronger foundation at the back. He can get the midfield players to stay deeper instead of Neil and ekwah both bombing forward together... he has the option of o'nien going into midfield.

Hes got to do more than he is.

He needs to get a grip of the system because it isn't working and its piss easy to score against us.

You could see all this in pre season and hes done nothing about it, nothing.
