The Hundred 2023

Deary me, read all that back and tell me you didnt just vomit on the keyboard and click "post reply". We aren't Major League Baseball and we aren't the IPL, we don't need all that manufactured "drama", English cricket fans are not the same as Indian cricket fans.

There was nothing much wrong with the Blast and if that had been given the profile, promotion and funding the Hundred has it would have grown cricket more, because it wouldn't have alienated proper county fans and it had a much broader reach.

The Blast was already reinvigorating county cricket, in 18 counties not seven cities. The cricket was better than I've seen in the Hundred and you had more of the "star" players because they were just playing for their actual contracted counties, under their contracts.

We didn't sacrifice all that we've sacrificed to watch Matthew Wade, Paul Stirling and Roly van der Merwe did we?

What the Hundred has done is massively increased the mainstream profile of domestic women's cricket, but I feel it could have been achieved using Blast as the vehicle and double heading in the same way.
It's just an idea if we keep The Hundred. That's all. Two division Blast is the way to go and The Hundred has definitely underachieved considering how much it's had in the way of time, money and resources.
