Yann M'vila - target or not?

Encapsulates everything the club requires in a single man. Anchor, aggression, ability, will to win, I can think of no one better to tutor Ekwah and Neil to become top flight footballers.

Should be top priority, I think he'll sign.

Thoughts?
Didn't Mvila have episodes of axe wielding mania and other less than stable emotional moments? I can't think of anyone worse to be mentoring young players, unless it's to say 'don't smash your home up with an axe or punch restaurant owners in the face'. He was a very good player, though.

Poor lad seems to spend his life available for signing.

Just needs to come home 😪

I think it was more to do with Russian ultras not suiting him as opposed to him being an open lunatic. He was nothing but exemplary here with both u21 and senior players.

There was a context to the axe weirding where he was defending himself, not something I’d be likely to do but certainly not mania or necessarily linked in any way to mental health or unstable personality. Don’t know about the other incident, doesn’t ring any bells.

Wasn't the axe thing him smashing up his apartment. I don't think there was anyone else there when it happened, so not sure where the defending himself comes in, if memory serves - he was pissed off about something, so took an axe to his apartment. He later joked about his winning a fight if there was a Russian with a gun and him with an axe.
