Ipswich website bizarre pub guide

Was in Fitzies last Friday night, not even a dozen in and it stank, as soon as you walked in the door. Couldn't believe it
Aye it is going down hill like they do have a couple of alright beers on though which is their last saving grace atm

All depends where you gan, Newcastle is good on the drink like but let’s celebrate Sunderland pubs in this thread for any away fan reading
I've been to countless away grounds and used to often stay over. I'd always stay in the town of whoever we were playing, rather than the closest big city. You often get better nights out and bump into more interesting characters that way.

Anywhere on the seafront is ok, even the Queen Vic if yer after some moon dust.

Poetic licence
Granny Annies
Dickies
Queen Vic
Harbour View
Wolsey
Avenue
Bar 73 or if you so wish
the cantina bars, Fort, Wheatsheaf, Tavern.

They can drink anywhere they want.
Act like knackers and they'll get knacked.
Never seen a home only pub anywhere in Sunderland ever.

To be fair going to the SOL on an away coach it is a bit of trek to get the boozer, most away fans don't want to go too far from the ground. Colliery tavern is always packed and is tiny.

Think that will change when they open the bars over there later.

They can do some research, arrive a bit earlier? Even from the coach park they could go over to fan museum/deaf club etc?

The dun cow
The isis
The peacock
Vaux taproom
The Albion
The fans museum
The Ivy House
Sams Bar
Diego’s
The Mortal Hound
Fitzgeralds

Just off the top of me head. Any away fans should be looking at these not f***ing Jamesons
Ah Knarr its been a couple of months since i've been in the town but where is this establishment.

I imagine a lot of Ipswich fans travelling by train will drink in Newcastle and get the metro through in time for a quick one and the huge queue outside the ground where 20,000 can’t get in.
