The Hundred 2023

Are you both saying you would ok with a team in the hundred based at Chester-le-Street in the future for kids to go too??

As that kind of goes against what you have saying
Not at all. You're missing my point. I've merely said IF a kid is hooked on the 16.4 living in Durham, they will likely rather go to Leeds than watch a 50, over game at Durham next week. However I don't for one second believe the 16.4, has captured the imagination of kids in County Durham enough to want to attend. From the clips I've seen on sky sports, the attendances look pretty poor. I don't see any youngsters wearing 16.4 shirts at Durham. The only person I recall seeing wearing one is Shouter and that was a freebie he got off Neil Killeen a year or so ago. As for Durham hosting the 16.4, it wouldn't really affect me because none of us would have any intentions in attending.

You’ve got a strange obsession with putting words into peoples mouths haven’t you… That wasn’t anything remotely like what he was saying.
The bottom line is if a kid watches a game on the telly and plays with his mates at school and wants to get into cricket and the hundred is on near him of course parents are going to take them.

Rather than give their kid a lecture on what it doing to county cricket.

Especially if the kid hasn’t got a f***ing clue what it is and just wants to get into cricket.
Certainly. That's one of my main objections to it- that it 's only accessible to a small portion of the population.
That’s fair enough that my two complaints

1 Not far enough widespread

2 The quality of players no where near what was promised

What the f*ck are you on about?! Why are you making shit up in order to engineer an argument with yourself?

So why are you defending its existence?

It would make more sense and better reflect the population balance and regional identities of E&W if there was one in the North East and one in the South West. If they did that, and dropped some of the pointless format tweaks, i might even give it a chance.

Not really as would prefer one competition in the school holidays accessible to as many people as possible.

Just find some of the petty comments about hoping it’s raining no sympathy for kids missing games as destroying the game just tiresome as fuck.

Personally whoever goes to a cricket match anywhere in the country have a great time and enjoy themselves
