Attendance Thread - Ipswich Town

That's not true though as the away fans haven't had to move at St. James.
Newcastle have had away fans in the gods since they extended to 52k in 2001 and because they were in the PL when the rules changed and they put the case to the PL that its impossible for them to configure SJP to accommodate away fans in the lower tier for PL games for both logistics and safety reasons they have had dispensation like we did even though we made the change in 2012 to move the away fans. Now because we haven't been in the PL since 2017 we could no longer house all the away fans up in the NSU when we return.

In your own head maybe. Any neutral would disagree with you.
I live in Leeds. Happened to have a football related chat a week or so ago with a few like minded football fans who happened to be travelling the country playing golf.

Leicester, Forest, Coventry, West Brom and Birmingham fans. I recognised them all as being big clubs. They had a sensible conversation and accepted none were quite in the level as Sunderland. They thought Leeds were about the same as them.

Leeds are a big club. But not as big as Sunderland. And that's ok.

Same as them clubs? Coventry wba Birmingham forest Leicester big clubs? 😄 😁 🤣

Leeds are on par with Villa and Everton, not those mickey mouse clubs.

Anyway sorry for taking the thread off topic a little. Back on topic now please lads.

Everton and Villa are proper old historical clubs with far bigger fanbases than you (both the mags and Leeds for the sake of playing along). You weren't in the football league until the 1920s and hadn't settled on a kit until the 60's.

The people of Leeds are more bothered about cricket. And rugby.

Interesting comparison because most football fans like Villa and Everton. Leeds beat Liverpool on the loathed scale.

You were a Sunderland fan not long ago?

Post in thread 'Beaten by a better side tonight'
Beaten by a better side tonight

They were neutrals in the debate. Generally everyone agreed.

There was one Leeds fan, I asked him to name a single metric which might define them as a bigger club than Sunderland. He couldn't and then did accept. He continued to argue with the Leicester, Coventry, West Brom fan.

They bought me a beer and I left.

Yeah was quite topical. Interestingly I agreed with the Leeds fan as my view was that they are bigger than the clubs you mentioned. Sunderland had left the room by that point.
