Where do you take the fielder from though? Likelihood is you have to take a catcher out to get a third man in.

Seems far more likely he’s carrying some sort of knock. Doesn’t really make sense holding him back when these two are cruising.

It's more that they tend to have a fine leg over a 3rd man, where as to e its more likely runs will trickle to 3rd

Never accepted this argument. It’s two and a half years away. Do we just write off the rest of Test cricket? We’ve home and away five match series v India before then for a start. I’d like to be trying to win them before I worry about the next trip down under.
