Racism at Yorkshire CCC

The other counties have to protest at this

to back date to finished competitions is zero penalty at all

the precedent was set for Durham and at the very least Yorkshire should start next season with the point deductions

its a bloody farce that the FTECB could think this is punishment

this should not be the end

There was a discussion going on at the recent Second XI home game (always a useful source of info.) that the counties had all apparantly contacted the ECB to protest at the leniency when the original recommendations were announced.🤔

How on earth can they be given a points deduction in a competition that has already finished in which they didn't make the knockout stages anyway?

I assume that the CDC have published the reasons for their decision. They would, I expect, be obliged to do so. I’ll see if they are online.

I’m proposing to ask the management (assuming that Bostock or North will be at the members meeting on Tuesday) what they intend to do about this, or indeed if there’s anything they think can be done.

£400k fine - £300k if which is suspended.

Points penalty for a competition that’s finished and they didn’t qualify from anyway.

Points penalty for a competition that they had little chance of doing anything in anyway.

Banned from hosting internationals between October and March.

Well that’ll teach them

When you put it like that all you can do is

I think the thing here is Durham punishment was not fitting of the crime.

So obviously we want blood and something similar applied to them.

But like the people responsible aren't at the club anymore. We shouldn't have had our punishments and I honestly find punishing Yorkshire a waste of time too.

How does the club progress, Durham went backwards for a long time cos it's punishment it was a senseless waste.

But it makes a mockery of our punishment and it isn't fair. Hopefully other counties will go after Yorkshire like they did us.

Isn't there a members forum on Tuesday?

Might be worth asking Bostock how he feels about Yorkshire's punishment.

Although I think we all know the answer to that.
