5th test the oval

Just watched the run out again. Yes Bairstow hits the wicket before he has the ball under control but the bail isn’t dislodged. If that had been a bowled ball and the ball had popped up and settled back it would have been not out. So, surely it’s only out when the bails are off ie when Bairstow has the ball in his gloves. In other words he should be given out.
One half of the bail was up so he had to remove the full thing
