  • Due to strike action, Sunderland station will have reduced station opening hours of 0700-1900.
  • The 06:44 Sunderland to Londond Kings Cross will depart from St. Peters Metro station instead of Sunderland at 06:42 and arrives into London Kings Cross at 10:22.
  • The 16:48 London Kings Cross to Sunderland is retimed to terminate at St Peters Metro station, departing from London Kings Cross at 16:48, York at 18:35, Thirsk at 18:52, Northallerton at 19:01, Eaglescliffe at 19:18, Hartlepool at 19:37 and arriving at St. Peters Metro at 20:06.
  • The 19:27 London Kings Cross to Sunderland is retimed to terminate at St Peters Metro station, departing from London Kings Cross at 19:27, York at 21:12, Thirsk at 21:30, Northallerton at 21:39, Eaglescliffe at 21:57, Hartlepool at 22:17 and arriving at St Peters Metro at 22:41.

So now we know no northern rail trains

Is the metro still on ? Normally it’s off when train strike but nothing on metro website suggests it’s off

Yes. Network Rail have reached agreement. Don't think the rail strikes affect the system.
