5th test the oval

Australia's day no question about that.

Seriously poor batting by 3 of our batters in particular. Feel like if we don't take at least 2 wickets in the first hour tomorrow then we're out of it.

Haven't watched any of this but 283 first innings is poor by Oval standards as Australia's response seems to have shown. They're going to need to bowl out of their skins tomorrow.

tbf there were no signs before this series, and you never know... you have to keep positive.
I understand completely but sometimes you have to say that it’s time for Jimmy to leave the scene

He’s not going for runs but he looks unlikely to take numerous wickets on an innings

they put up his stats and they were are 50 odd for 1 and 0 for 60

tidy enough but he’s supposedly England premier strike bowler

I don’t want to see him trundling in at 75 mph and taking the odd tail end wicket
55 overs + 25 overs + 2 for change of innings = 82 overs.

So nearly 10% short. Piss poor for the fans yet again.
And they leave in perfectly acceptable weather conditions

Poor day but not a definitive one. I felt if we had scored 320 after being put in would have been OK and we need them out for no more than 330 imo
That a good post on how I feel on the day

as ever the next session is a big one , it looks like the Aussies are going to be a bit defensive in their approach, having looked at the forecast

Repeating errors that we made in at least one or not two of the other tests? Its like watching a side who they they are all Don Bradman at times

Wicket is doing a fair bit, you have been put in, Starc and Cummins are quality operators, some of the shots and general mentality is more brain fade than baz ball

There is a time to go at 5 or 6 an over these were not the conditions for that. 4 an over would have been more suitable

Are they all booked on at Wentworth golf club Sunday or something?

Check the forecast , it’s looks very similar to Old Trafford over the weekend

we need to somehow take 20 wickets so getting one innings done in 50 overs or so could help later in the game

Just wondering , how many of this England team are playing in the hundred ?

it starts a day after this series is over

are any of the Aussies staying for it ?

Australia’s day but we are still well in it. If we bowl them out tomorrow, they shouldn’t get a lead of more than 50, and then we could be batting again by the start of day 3.

Shame that Moeen looks to have a knock, though I think Root may get a wicket or 2 if we give him a few overs tomorrow.

Going to be hard graft trying to take 9 wickets with 3 seamers. The 5th test in a row bad selection costing us.

There is simply no way Jimmy should of played a bowler coming off 3 poor tests at his worst ground in England what was the thought process where he was going to come good.

Hope he takes a hateful but more likely 4 wickets in 4 tests.
