Umpires covering their backs here, we give it a chance
Wasn't that cos of church on the Sunday? Why can’t they have a spare day like they did in the old days ?
If their out their the whole time instead of waiting 40 mins.Still taking the water off, inspect now and it's a no.
If it stays dry we'll start about 2.20.
Game on. Pure white skies but no rain.
They've not stopped drying the ground since it stopped raining, just takes time.If their out their the whole time instead of waiting 40 mins.
Will give them a better understanding of what it's like. Than waiting 40 mins and the decide at 2 let's wait another 45 mins like they have done.
If they'd been out before 2 we might have actually got started at 220 like you said.
Gonna be not much drier at 245 than it it as 2.
Game on. Pure white skies but no rain.
Agreed. Woody with the wind, Woakes into it.Got to open with Wood and Woakes
What's the solution though? There's a few tweaks you could make around the older conventions around weather but besides that not sure there's much. Also some of the more stuffy victorian things in place around light and weather etc are offset by the modern concern around injury and liabilityThis is ridiculous. I’m fuming here. I’d be even more annoyed if I’d paid to be there.
Players warming up, same as HeadingleyWhy wait till 2:45? What are they waiting for ?
