4th test Manchester

You have 3 lads sweeping the covers
2 lads making sure it going down the drain
2 blotters doing the outfield
3 or 4 chatting near the hover cover, imagine if that broke down again

Was 6/4 this morning and now 6/5. I guess that might only be due to the pitch inspection. I cannot see there being enough hours today for a result. Tomorrow looking worse too.

Just gotta play it by ear. Weather apps had no play yesterday morning and we got a full session.

Today was biblical with zero chance of a ball and now there’s a pitch inspection at 2pm.

We’ve just got to hope we get enough chance to get them out. 3 hours somehow across today and tomorrow and I would snap your hands off.

Will take at least 90 minutes to dry the outfield , 💯 the other chance we get the umpires call tea
Not according to Jonatha Agnew, who said this earlier on the BBC test match page:-

"Even when it does stop raining, it will take at least two hours for the ground to be ready for play and then we have consider whether there will be a few dry hours for play."

😱😱😱😱

We look knackered, unfortunately.🤕

Mind, I'm surprised that I feel quite relaxed about not now regaining the Ashes, while (oddly) feeling quite smug that the Aussies have had a humiliating walloping - and they know they have! 😉
