4th test Manchester

Well looking at the latest Met Office map it does appear there'll be a 3 hour window around noon. The weather seems to be coming from the south west, so if it stops raining at the golf it might be a decent indication we could get some play.
Yep just checked myself and hopefully we’ll get some play, make the bastards have lunch at 11:30.

Look at us man, set of proper weather geeks

criticised for not declaring early enough now. TBH we'd expect them to get 200+ in second innings, we could have declared then and got another 45 mins at them? we'd still not have got them extra 6 wickets

We should have declared as soon as Wood was out. Pointless having a 270 run lead if potentially there was no play Sat or Sun

Do they need to think about the merits in picking a venue when there is such a high likelihood of losing time to rain?
What, England?

Do people still belive this stuff by the way?

There was a study a few years back about overs lost to rain, I think it was Gloucester and Glamorgan at the top. Certainly wasn't Lancs anyway.

What a disappointment this would be ,Australia have been extremely lucky
If they do get on mark wood needs to be bowling from the off and at full steam

Just been on talksport that there "could be a dry spell between 1-5pm".🤞
Aye, but after it’s chucked it down it’ll take ages to get the pitch ready even without any showers. It’s forecast for rain all day, between 1-5 is just lighter rain

Can’t see it today unfortunately
