As wev17 says - being a so called big club (by your own supporters) hasnt done you a lot of good since the early 1900's has it?

Didnt my 'little club' finish higher in the league than your club last season.
And, didnt we play in a higher division than your club for the last 4 seasons prior?

A teessider who ridicules the area despite living there. 🤣 never claimed our support isn’t thickle either our catchment area is probably big enough to attract more but it is what it is. The reality is mate your Sunderland you have strong regional support and good distant history but the reality is in the modern era and right now we are both mediocre and will both continue to be mediocre

They fail to realise they will always be mediocre just like we are. In the grand scheme of things we’re both absolutely nothing. I’d be delighted to see us finishing in the top 10 of the premier league and have a good run there. Don’t have any delusion that we belong there like some on here do however

Aye, my mouse (on the desktop) appears to be having some issues !!!
Thing is, we all know you have more fans than us - i'm just saying that in the grand scheme of things it doesnt really make you any better than us.
We all think our own club is the most important one - but ultimately we're all judged on silverware.

They do, but take into consideration they’ve won a load in the early 90s late 1800s and spent 27 more seasons in the top flight competing at the same level the gap is around 7,000 difference on average hardly massive like they go on.

Would you pay our prices for season tickets like? Teesside has some of the most deprived areas in Europe ffs and the cheapest adult season card is 490 pound

I know I live in one of them Eston but Sunderland have deprived areas too

It’s not just quantity…it’s quality of support. We are considerably better on both counts

your home atmosphere is poorer than ours, loads of people compliment the atmosphere at our place the numbers are a bit average understandably at the minute but the atmosphere is always loud
