54 points currently over Sussex, which will likely be cut to 49 tomorrow if Sussex secure a draw at home to Derbyshire.
At the current rate Sussex are picking up points, that will take them 4 games to make up.

We will no doubt pick up a decent haul of bonus points from our remaining 5 games. I reckon we are already on the brink of promotion. If we can win one more game its done.

Leics & Sussex are averaging @ 12 points a game, on that trajectory that gets them to 167 points, very unlikely either win tomorrow.
Durham are averaging 17 points a game
One more win see's Durham promoted for me

What has happened to Ajaz Patel and Milnes, I cant keep tracking of all the incomings and outgoings
Patel played the games he signed for then flew back to NZ. Which one was Milne's? The Warwickshire bowler? He got injured so we signed that Kiwi left armer as a quick fix then replaced him with Pretorius.

Edit or was Milnes the Kiwi left armer?

We are averaging 6.7 bonus pts out of 8 per game. With 5 games left that alone would get us another 33 points and if we get that many we probably get at least three more draws so another 24 points.

Only 5 points for a draw so only an extra 15 points. Nevertheless I agree with your logic. Our batting strength almost guarantees avoiding defeat which given our 50_points lead puts us in a very strong position.

Average 1st inns score of 444 after 9 completed games - don't think even the biggest optimist on here would have dared to predict that at the beginning of the season.:D

Didn't expect it at all. Last season was bloody awful to put it mildly. It has been quite a turnaround and I look forward to watching Durham again.

Sussex have pretty much batted themselves into at least a draw. So the gap will be reduced hopefully to only 49.

Which considering that means Sussex would need two full bonus point wins to even get anywhere near us.

Means we've surely got the title bagged if they don't win.

Ah ok I thought Patel was here all season. Milnes got injured?!!? I thought he was playing with us to aid his recovery from injury

I would be interested to know how many players we have used this season in the CC

Milnes was on a two game loan to get game time as part of his rehab from injury, but in the first game he suffered a pretty bad hamstring tear and that was the end of that.

I thought Patel was here all season.

So did I, so when he left I went back and checked the press release put out when he arrived. I can’t recall the exact wording, but it was pretty clear he wasn’t definitely here the whole season.

He didn’t help his case for staying in the Glamorgan game tbh, but I expect the seamer crisis was probably the factor which tipped it as we needed to free up an overseas slot.

I was thinking that yesterday just before we got the 5th batting point. If someone had said last season that we would be getting max points for the 5th time this season, the men in white coats would have been summoned 😂

I‘ve counted 20

I am up to 21, which is very high

Of those that have played less than 5 games:
De Leede (4) - dropped or injured?
Coughlin (4) - dropped or injured
Trevaskis (2) - dropped or injured
Milnes (1) Loan
Pretorious (1) overseas
Patel (3) overseas
Mckinney (1) dropped or injured?
Bushnell (2) dropped or injured?
Kuhnemann (3) overseas
Parkinson (3) Loan
Toole (1) overseas

Cricinfo saves you the hassle of counting. Batting and bowling figures from the players we've used this season in CC. It's 21 as you said
