If you look at the current England cricket team, where would it be without Yorkshire and Durham? A side shorn of Root, Bairstow, Wood, Stokes, Potts, Brook et al would be a laughing stock in world cricket
Root, Stokes and Wood are the equivalent of Haaland, Mbappe in football yet both counties are mired in financial debt. With no transfer market to generate money, what can be done to ensure those that do most for English cricket are able to generate money off the back of this? The current status quo is not working
Should counties be awarded tests based on how many players they have playing for England so Durham get 2 tests in an Ashes series?
