I am not sure, it seems the whole approach is based on a laissez-faire just play your game mentality. Lets relax and let our game do the talking, no need for hard practice/prep etc. Is mental discipline, focus, hard training and proper preparation compatible with this approach. Time will tell, but against the best in the world this approach has been found wanting so far. As @Mr Redknapp said above, we cannot go backwards though as our old approach was really shit!! Interesting dilemma for McCullum and Stokes.

I thought they have been told they can play with freedom, this is the result. Great when you’re winning, crap when things go wrong. Same as any other way of playing really.
