Aye, I thought it could be some mental idea that Ali would go and try and smash it around

Brook looked lost at 3.

Was unfair on him. Definitely reminded me of when they lobbed Pope in at 4 against India. Who had never batted higher than 6 in his FC career.

I think they said Brook averaged 22 at 3 for Yorkshire. A bit of a leap to do much in test cricket there if failed at county level.

Mo has got a more steel to him than Brook. Even if he's spent a lot of his England career getting out in daft ways.

Good tactic imo. Good fast scorer without the added pressure of batting with the tail. Hopefully it gives him a bit freedom and takes the heat off
