County Cricket 2023

Have the ECB mandated their compensation policy yet? Its high time counties were properly protected for producing talent.

When did Nottinghamshire last produce an England Test player? I still love Trent Bridge, but I’m really starting to despise them as a county.
Not sure what you can do if they are out of contract regarding compensation between counties.

“Sussex Don’t Believe In Bazball!

Sussex have carried on batting after lunch on Day 4 at Hove V Derbyshire County Cricket Club and have just this minute declared setting Derbyshire 380 in 58 overs!

Crikey Derbyshire haven’t won a game all season and have never chased more than 250 at Hove to beat Sussex!

Hopefully Derbyshire will just safely bat out the days play at something like 120-2, captains shake hands and the Derbyshire players, officials and supporters can leave early and head back up the M1 to watch The Who in concert at the County Ground.

Glad I didn’t travel to Hove and spend close on £1000 for travel, beer and accommodation for this match.

Sussex not doing the red ball game in favours…!”

Sussex’ unwillingness to lose a game in order to win it should further help our promotion prospects.

Going alright for them ATM..3 wickets in 15 overs. It's possible, while unlikely.

Yorkies have shaken hands.

8 points only for Worcs, I think
99-3 from 20 overs - are Derbyshire going for it?!!
they are now, by the looks of things. 221-4, 159 needed and 19 overs to get them in. 8 an over is still a tall order.
although I say 19 overs, but the final day, final hour 16 over thing always leaves me confused

Just tuned into the Lancashire game to be greeted with a static image of Rob Jones . All 3 results possible in Blackpool and the stream has crashed

Surrey held to a draw by Notts

I have to say I'm disappointed with the Notty's. 297 target in 52 overs.... less than 6 an over needed and they showed not a bit of interest in having a go. We'd have taken that on every day of the week

Hanty's look as though they're going to frustrate Somerset

Haider just hit back to back sixes.

119 needed 8.47 RRR

he falls though

99 off 11 overs with 5 wickets remaining. They'll pull the plug sooner rather than later, I feel

Nice to know that du Plooy doesn't just score runs against us
Leics going hell for leather to try and get max bonus points
Roly Tobeland going mental v Northants, who've lost their heads a bit..... wides and no balls are beginning to flow.
Middlesex are going to win this one
