3rd test - Headingley

Sometimes I think Ben has an ear piece monitoring the TV and Radio commentary, then does the opposite to anything they say.

Tough chance for Bairstow apart, not much more we could have done this morning. I've loved the energy and intensity, makes a stark change from the 1st 2 tests. Break this partnership and we're right on top.

Excellent catch from Crawley too.

Reckon Wood has 12 overs a day in him, 3x4 spells at express pace, similar to Johnson in 2013, i reckon the extra seamer is to cover Woody and not Stokes

It's better today as the bowlers actually in the game and not just bowling half trackers.

I was bored watching the short ball tactic in the last test from both sides.
It’s better lately all round generally as teams now seem to want to attack all round from both a batters and bowlers point of view.

While historically it has been more of a defensive approach imo.
