Maddison to Spurs

‘Newcastle can’t afford £250k a week. We can. Loadsamoney, yeah, yeah, cockney bullshit’

No wonder West Ham and Chelsea just take the piss 😂

Wrong again Newcastle United can't afford to pay 250k a week wages to players, you have mega rich owners but due to FFP they can't just buy who they want at this point in time.

Newcastle United don't generate much money last year they only generated £160m in annual revenues and for last season they will be lucky to generate much more than £200m Spurs on the other hand will generate over £550m.

As for your other crap you are simply talking out of your arse 🙄

I don't care what the likes of Manchester City Chelsea or Newcastle United win now or in the future because it is simply artificial success via financial doping, if Liverpool Manchester United win trophies I acknowledge their achievements because they are mostly run from self generated means, I would even have added Arsenal to that list but they are also being financially doped now by their owners over the last 2/3years

Turnover was £180m to end of June 2022. This will be over £200m in 22-23 but will grow significantly in 23-24.
Spurs in the same period to June 2022 was £440m.
Now that NUFC have replaced Spurs in the ECL, I’d expect convergence in revenues. Especially since we’ve now got some commercial revenue rather than giving it away to Sports Direct.
Spurs also have close to £1bn in borrowings. NUFC have f*ck all.

10 in 32 last season for a relegated team, and seemingly created plenty too.

Similar stats to Clarke this season in a higher division. And for a team that struggled. He’s effective

He’s a very good player and I’m personally pleased the mags stepped aside

Frank Lampard has an Undergraduate Degree in Latin
He can't have an undergraduate degree, once a degree is conferred he'd be a graduate. I think he has a Latin A level which is canny, he went to a public school, not his local comprehensive like.

The attitude to education is better in football now - Stevie Heighway was treated like some kind of freak for having a degree - some of that is the mindset of foreign players.
Every person in the Philipinnes has a degree man, means absolutely nowt these days.

Newcastle have sold their soul to a murderous dictatorship, Spurs have not.

He's a good player so glad the blood money didn't get him, although he's a bit of a charv knob so he'd be reet at home on tha toon .

Excellent footballer but can see why the mags didn’t bid for him, he isn't really suited to a high pressing team that literally runs the opposition off the pitch. He will obviously score and create goals for Spurs but I will be very surprised if he is playing champions league football anytime soon.

Only De Bruyne has more goal contributions over the last 2 seasons.

Almiron had 14 last season (in a firing overachieving team) compared to Maddisons 19 contributions in a god awful Leicester team.

How can you ‘overachieve’ over a full season? It’s actually a season and a half.
Almiron wasn’t even a regular starter post World Cup.

I’ve just had a quick look. Since 1992 spurs have won 2 trophies.

Arsenal have won 14

I could compare to a few others if I could be arsed.

The point is, they’re not a very top club. And I don’t think he’s a very top player

Good club and good player of course
How many trophies have Newcastle Arabia won since 1992.
Not a difficult one, it’s fuck all. Zero

So who was?

Because none of them get close to Maddisons stats
So who was, what? Your question makes no sense. Maddison’s a great player who played in a shit team. I’d have liked him here. Newcastle played as a team with assists coming from all over the park. Not sure what point you’re trying to make?
