Maddison to Spurs

I have a feeling this signing we end in tears. May have a good start but an see it dropping off quickly on an inflated wage and a long contract

He is a class player who has got a good contract for a London club

Money and London will beat the mags every time

He is reportedly getting 140k a week, the mags cant get anywhere near that or there would be hell on at the club

Maddison signs for Spurs

He isn't getting 250k per week, 150k /175k max he isn't getting paid more than Kane and Son that's for sure.
Great signing at a bargain price and for Similar wages to what Taliban United will be paying Linton, Bruno, Gordon , Almiron and Longstiff never mind Balsa wood legs Wilson
they are gutted to have missed out on there number 1 target it's all they have talked about since January.

He’s nowhere near the level of what Eriksen was at Spurs but they’ve missed that sort of player since he left

Be interesting to see how he does there

His stats are very similar to Eriksen in goals and assists over past 4 seasons, he definitely deserves his chance at a top club.

Footballers are stupid as fuck as well
Not all are stupid.
Simon Mignolet has a degree in Political science and Law
Duncan Watmore has a First Class Honours in Economics & Business Management
Lukaku speaks six languages fluently
Frank Lampard has an Undergraduate Degree in Latin

Quite a few more with degrees if you look, Van de Sar, Mata, Kompany, Inesta ......

Granted, many aren't the sharpest tools in the box but probably the same can be said about the average bloke in the street.

@EssexYid’s post earlier in the thread

It was you who posted the link to the £250k per week 😂😂😂 Now your backtracking. Typical Yid.

You are wrong I posted a link from the Northern Echo regarding Eddie Howe admitting that Newcastle United can't compete with the wages being paid by the bigger clubs, I didn't say anything at all about 250k a week wages for Madison and if you read the article properly it stated that 250k a week was what he was demanding not what he is being paid by Spurs that is why i said there is no way he is being paid more than Kane and Son etc.

If you read the article properly and saw my response to others such as yourself who can't differentiate the difference between Madison demanding 250k a week and what he will actually be getting at Spurs that is not my problem is it.

Try engaging your brain in future before posting you will find that it often helps.

Wasting your time mate. He's a good signing for that kind of fee and the wages well that's what can be demanded when you don't have to shell out too much upfront (relatively) his injury record would be my only concern, seems to have has quite a few niggles recently but fit and flying he's a potential match winner, keeping Kane is the biggie and if this is the kind of signing that does it that's worth the money alone, will it though??

Eriksen was far superior level to Maddison obviously the move to Inter didn’t really work out and he’s had health issues

Maddison should prove to be a good buy as say is the sort of player they’ve been missing

Just need a nee defence now the one they have is honking

The Mags don't generate money through player sales. The got a decent chunk of the Wood fee back but I think the last decent sale they had was Perez to Leicester 4 years ago.

He can't have an undergraduate degree, once a degree is conferred he'd be a graduate. I think he has a Latin A level which is canny, he went to a public school, not his local comprehensive like.

The attitude to education is better in football now - Stevie Heighway was treated like some kind of freak for having a degree - some of that is the mindset of foreign players.
