CC : Leicestershire v Durham

Close:

Durham 422-4 (96 overs)

Robinson 113*
Clark 85*

Partnership is 201.

nice to see clark doing well this season. pretty sure i said when campbell came in i could see clark being given time to prove himself a capable red ball contributor as his white ball success suggests he'd fit into this new world order. glad to see him grabbing the opportunity

Apparantly that the highest 5th wicket partnership for Durham v Leics beating the one between Paul Parker and Ian Botham in our first ever Championship match in 1992 at the Racecourse. Was at that one. Who knows where the time goes?:(

Had a good chat with Alan Walker today about Clark and other things. Fair to say Campbell is just allowing the players to be positive and not frightened to make mistakes. Refreshing
Can someone explain how this works? Surely the 11 you start with is the 11 you finish with?
Potts is named on the team sheet. If England don't want him he can be substituted into the game for the second innings. All depends on Wood and Anderson

I must admit I'd pretty much written Clark off for red ball cricket. Nice to be wrong.

Where a club has England players there’s a provision in first class cricket to allow them to join a game late (or leave a game early) if they are (or aren’t) selected to play in the England fixture.

Happened with Graham Onions a lot around 2012-2014.

Marty said on commentary they’re about 58 runs short of making it the outright best partnership for Durham for the 5th wicket.
