CC : Durham v Glamorgan

Out of interest, Sowter is in the form of his life, no Fc record to speak of, but is it totally out of the question we could play 2 spinners

It’s going to be red hot

Worth thinking about. Depends on his contract I suppose?

But if he’s on a T20 only deal, no reason why they couldn’t agree a short term red ball contract, provided he is available. That’s effectively what they did with Parkinson.
It’s going to be red hot

It’s never hot on the members balcony 😁
(Talking about the weather and the reception!)

Given the recent dry weather and the forecast for it to be hot our only hope of victory is it takes spin on the last day. Do we rely on Borthwick as our 2nd spinner in such circumstances?
and/or Trevaskis replacing DeLeede?
I'd go
Lee's
Jones
Borthwick
Bedingham
Robinson
Clark
Bushnell
Trevaskis
Coughlin/Robinson
Raine
Patel

The article on the Durham website announcing Craig Miles’ arrival confirms that Coughlin, Carse and Gibson are still unavailable.

Marty was speculating on BC and PC’s fitness in the commentary last night, and seemed to be suggesting they were in with a shout for this game.

Worcestershire were at Leeds last night.... Easily home about 1am earliest. They start a 4 dayer tomorrow.... In Hove!!!. Glamorgan were playing in Cardiff last night, as we know they are due into Chester Le Street in the morning. It's far too much.

I suspect they’ll have driven up first thing today and will be holed up in the Radisson now so it’s an even worse scenario for them really.

Unless they got a flight, to ease the load.

Head Coach Matt Maynard has named a 13-man squad for Glamorgan's trip to Durham in the LV= County Championship.
Missing key players such as captain David Lloyd, opening batter Eddie Byrom, and overseas star Michael Neser has meant that Maynard has been forced to change his Championship squad somewhat.
Overseas batter Colin Ingram makes his first appearance in the Championship squad since the opening game against Gloucestershire, after making way for Marnus Labuschagne earlier in the campaign.
In the squad for the first time this season are Prem Sisodiya and Alex Horton. The latter of whom could make his first-class debut at Chester-le-Street after taking the gloves to deputise for Chris Cooke last time out at Hove. Sisodiya, meanwhile, could make his first County Championship appearance since 2018.
The Welsh county currently sit fourth in Division Two of the County Championship, while their hosts this week are top of the table, with four wins from their first six matches.

"They're obviously a quality team with some quality personnel but I have every faith in us to go up there and get a good result.
"We're going up with a few guys that may night have played much red-ball cricket and that's very exciting for us to have a look at those guys that have put in performances for the second team.
"There's going to be opportunities and I think that's very exciting for us as a club to go up there and get a positive result".
