Suspected we might.Good bowler, just recovered from injury.Craig Miles from Warwickshire
I think it spells out that none of our Academy bowlers are ready to step up.Hopefully just a temporary blip.Shit crack this in my opinion
I know I’ll get slated
We have of the best academies in the country, sort of message does it spell out

Yeah going for promotion and playing safe. Could still be a younger seamer plays as well.Having seen a bit of the 2nd team this season, I would tend to agree. We have several promising young seamers, but they are still developing. We don’t want them being put in too early and getting a hiding, and for their confidence to go.
If we are serious about winning things, especially promotion in the CC, an experienced hand will assist.
Just my 2p worth, like.

Fair but kind of think loan system makes mockery of leagueTo be honest i don't mind the occasional loan player its better than committing yourself to a full contract to an old lag like Salisbury who is never really going to be better than a back up player.
I think there is a few things they need to sort out before tje loan system. Remember its also usef to loan young players for tbeir development.Fair but kind of think loan system makes mockery of league

I'll second that.Having seen a bit of the 2nd team this season, I would tend to agree. We have several promising young seamers, but they are still developing. We don’t want them being put in too early and getting a hiding, and for their confidence to go.
I've seen nothing so far to suggest that he's ready to step up just yet. If it's to be anyone I would say Young Stan.I think Killeen would be worth a go

If they think he is a better bowler than what we would have available, and are determined to get promoted is that more understandable? Similar to Ali getting a recall ahead of county spinners?Shit crack this in my opinion

Honest tryer and a journeyman. Nothing wrong with that and as you say did well in his 1st year as a backup but never going to be a regular at any county who want to play in the 1st divison. Its not like he was a youngster whi was on the up.Unfair on Salisbury who was very effective for us that first year
I'll second that.

The one positive is we do generally seems to give youth a chance, much like the lad in the 20/20 stuff. I think if they truly thought someone was ready for it, they would pick them, but maybe just this moment isn't the right timeI get it mate. But even if we win tomorrow I don’t agree with it
Not going to complain about it after this thread mind, I just think we have some very talented bowlers and this is an opportunity to play one. It’s the main reason I follow Durham, local talent.
