T20 :: Durham v Lancashire

Just got back from a thoroughly enjoyable and professional performance from the lads.
Bowling and fielding were superb and the batting excellent.
Finally, a shout out to Bushnell for his brilliant catch.
Batting was sensible apart from one daft shot by Jones though he batted very well and can be forgiven. We kept it ticking over nicely all night which was very impressive, proper good game management. Just an all round impressive performance tonight.
Well I'm going to headingley bet you didn't think I would be
I genuinely couldn't give a flying fuck to be honest

In the block I was sat in tonight I'd say 80% weren't even paying attention to the game. I guess on the flip side they were spending shit loads of money which again is their money but I'll never understand the logic of paying £20 a ticket to then pay £30, for about 5 pints and miss easily 75% of the game. I appreciate people need to get up out their seat from time to time that's fine but it was comfortably 25 times with this group tonight, complete piss take when we just want to watch the game
They can at least wait for gaps in play or the other ne of the over to go and refill but no up down up down

Well you like mentioning how many games I go to

People are entitled to do whatever they want with their money
Yes but makes no sense to have an entire stand shut.

Then also have a massive advertising banner in the middle of the stand that most people are sat in. When people could a bit more spread out within the county Durham lower.

I sat at the back of the county Durham lower the other day so I could jump over my seat to go get a pint too as not to disturb anyone but my mam who helped me clamber over the seat

Don't let the bickering detract from the fact we beat a top drawer T20 team with six internationals last night.
Are they a team or a collection of individuals? Admittedly the stream quality wasn't great but a few didn't look overly bothered last night and the other night on sky.

Livingstone used to be well up for a Roses clash and winding the Yorkie crowd up but even he looked subdued the other night. Didn't know whether he felt he had to be more "mature" as captain or he just wasn't arsed

Roll on Sunday which could be interesting seeing as how I'm being accompanied by my 86 year old mother whose last full game attended was in 1975 at Ropery Lane watching Colin Milburn bat for Chester le Street and Mrs RT who openly admits to knowing absolutely nothing about cricket. Although she did enquire if 'that Botham bloke will be playing?'....it could be a long day.:D
Good luck with that you deserve a medal as big as a dinner plate :D:D Didn't MrsRT once go to a match and thought it was unfair that when Durham came out to bat it was 2 against 11 :D:D
Try to make sure there's no Erica Roe/Michael Angelow type incidents :lol:

I thought that was just the lower tier but I'll check this out for Sunday cheers.

I can confirm that the upper tier is also non alcohol. I sat there for the 1st innings of the 1st game and it’s more civilised.

Sunday afternoon should be better as the sun will be shining on more of the ground negating the need to take thermals if I want to sit elsewhere 😀
