Bid rejected for Clarke

Clubs that want players also leak stuff to try and unsettle players too, along with agents of course.
This has the stink of agents written all over it, all the clubs linked and the new contract etc being discussed, got all the hallmarks of agent leaking.

Aye - It would be a challenge- we’d be down probably our 3 most effective forwards as it stands (assuming LND is injured/away)
A front line without Stewart, Amad and Clarke is hugely detrimental to the quality of the team. We’d be unrecognisable

His agent is Ian harte who seemingly has a good relationship with the club. Sure he represents several of the signings we've made.

Just checked and he represents 5 sunderland players. I can't see him playing funny buggers tbh.

It's his job TBF, he will be smoking out the interest to either get him a move or get as big a contract he can get out of us.

I'm not sure I agree tbh. Clubs and agents can have good relationships and I believe this is probably one.

Info could come from the selling club or anything to try and unsettle him.

It's a dirty old game they're all at it imho, thing is I think we've actually got people who know the game of transfers now tbh it's not blind leading the blind like it's been for so long here.

I agree. I love Clarke but there's a figure when we'd be daft not to sell. I really just hope we hold out for that figure or keep him.

I don’t think the model involves us having our pants pulled down. £10m wouldn’t cover what we owe Spurs, so absolutely zero point. Plus, the article is horse spunk.
Surely what we will owe Spurs will be just a percentage of any profit made, not a fixed fee of over £10m.
