CC : Gloucestershire v Durham

Would think if Patel plays he will be around 9, ten, Jack

im surprised at his career bowling in t20 and that does the job

we have one of the largest outfields as well in his favour

Think borthwick might miss out, are we not replacing stubbs

Pointless having high strike rate if you don't last long

You do understand the idea of the format, right?

If we played both Sowter and Patel they’d likely be fighting over who was as high as 10.

Aye mate it's a combination of runs and strike rate by your logic strike rate of 200 would be class but doesn't matter if it's getting 10 of 5 balls

Northampton away Friday then Yorkshire away on the Sunday

Notts at home on the Monday live on sky

Fingers crossed for four points

Yes. In form

Anyway it’s all to be seen

I’m more confident Durham will be a much better T20 outfit this summer
I think we could have done with a replacement for Stubbs but we need to see not convinced by the bowling but we can't be worse than last year surely

Tough start to the season with two away then Notts who are among the favourites

Then again playing them early could be an advantage

You pointed out his decent strike rate he averages 15 and top score of 31 anyway he will play and we can't be worse this year

Yes, because a strike rate is important in T20. Arguably more important than an average, but the problem with both stats from a T20 perspective is that neither will tell you about the situation the runs were scored in, or from what position in both the order and in the game. It’s why they brought in that ‘batting index’ a few years ago where they added both average and strike rate together to try and get a good judgement of what constitutes a good T20 batsman.

Ultimately there’s too much nuance to the format for old fashioned measurements to tell the full story and something like 10 off 5 balls could be far more important than 50 off 40 depending on the situation of the game. One thing that is true about Trevaskis though is he can hit a long ball. On top of that, he’s still only 24 so I would argue he has plenty of scope for improvement and there’s no question he is valuable to the side because he’s a three dimensional cricketer.

I predict he’ll feature heavily all campaign barring injury.

Agreed he certainly has talent

Not sure Patel has been signed to play T20 mind.

Remember they have to be paid, its not just "fancy a game"

Will see I guess

in the CC, if we win this be very hard not to get promoted?
