Boro thread

Boro have really missed the boat here . They will be weeker next season as Archer will go back to Villa and their top scorer had one off season ,just as Wyke did a couple of seasons ago and will probably get a move on the back of it.
You could say similar to us but bear in mind all our injuries ,those players returning will give us a stronger squad next season . As long as with the exception of Amad it's kept together.
4 of their first choice 11 on loan. Akpom a year left on his contract. Needing to cut costs due to FFP. This was their chance.

Boro will be regretting the last few days for a few years imo

Huge opportunity blown

As for safc , it was a step in the right direction after a decade of dross mostly

Be interesting to see how things go next season

I think (based on nowt but my gut) that Boro were the most likely to do something in the Prem.

I think Luton or Cov would be whipping boys. Again based on nowt but a feeling.

Carrick made a huge error in resting players. Should have kept them playing and cranking out results like they were. Momentum and all than. Should have wiped the floor with coventry

Middlesbrough had it in the bag and then imploded. no idea why.

However what this season has proved is that it is a pretty average league and we should be confident of at least doing as well, if not better, next season.

This. I absolutely despise them. Living in Teesside and having to put up with them daily has made me like this. There’s hatred of the mags naturally but my hate for Boro is far worse. I celebrated last night as much as a late Sunderland winner 👍🏻👍🏻
Never met anyone from boro before but started seeing a lass there (who’s ambivalent to football so absolutely fine) but the amount of people who have given me shit for being a mackem or living in Sunderland is unreal. Far worse than anything I got living and working in Newcastle. Take it half of them have never left teeside because some of it is absolutely shocking. Dread to think what they think Sunderland is like if they think it’s worse than Middlesbrough.

How do boro seem to be able to spend a big chunk of money on players/wages/managers? They don’t have any parachute payments yet every year they’re one of the top spenders. I was under the impression owners couldn’t Chuck money in that wasn’t part of income or am I imagining that?

Was the same when I worked in Boro the hatred for us was bizarre
