Tony Mowbray

Not sure the players will like that mind. Roberts Neil Clarke etc. I think if Mowbray goes then probably some of our young lads will think fuck it I’ll consider that offer from club x on much higher wages….

I love Mogga.

I trust those upstairs to make the right call. They've ultimately got to do what is best for SAFC and if they think they have someone better to do the job then we have to be cut throat.
I'm not sure some inexperienced, barely heard of coach, recently sacked from the Turkish League would fill me with confidence that upstairs do know what they are doing.
Back Mowbray with a fully fit squad, and we'll get promoted next season.

He was my choice when Neil left. He’s been a great fit and the perfect man for us. I’m scared of disrupting a good atmosphere at the club and there’s a healthy fear of the unknown. But TM is a top half champ coach. Maybe a replacement is of the level of a De Zerbi, in which case the gulf will be obvious. Would be a huge call - but would probably signal that we really want to go for it. Doubt they’d undercut a new man by selling off most of his squad.

Getting rid of Mowbray would be a disgrace. He has done more than was asked of him, with good grace.

Apart from owt else who wants to be like Watford?

Perhaps there was an always an agreement with Mowbray that he would come in for the season, to steady the ship as a favour to his mate Harvey for example?

We don't know what was said/agreed really.

Think after this season he will be getting a new contract tbh. Two year contract please for Tony, gives him two more seasons to try to get us up. I think he’s doing incredible developing this team. He’s here to coach and he’s doing it bloody well!
Fuck no

Even if it was De Zerbi every change is a gamble especially from overseas managers. Stick until we need to twist. We don’t need to twist.

I trust the club, they were right to hire Neil and then had Mowbray lined up to replace him which has been another great appointment. If they think a new coach is someone who would also be Premier League ready then I'm not going to doubt them.

Hes just been talking on Radio Newcastle there as if he will be here next season.

"We can only grow from this point. If we get it right in the summer,
if we recruit well and if we manage to keep more players more fit next year, this squad is good enough to compete again at the top end."
