Would this team beat the Mags?

We would get absolutely battered man. 90% of this squad was in League One last season, we scraped into the play-offs on the final day, and if we did make the play-off final, we'd be underdogs. Meanwhile Newcastle are third in the league, with literally unlimited money and are by some margin, the richest club in the world. Anything less than absolute domination of the league by 2030 is a failure for Newcastle.

You don't understand football.

No wonder you’ve never kissed a girl

Listen mate… we have all had a big day and we are all giddy. And we have all had a few drinks.

And I love your optimism and bullishness

But hawld yet pash Bonny lad.

Your head doesn't sound very clear. Have a big glass of water before you go to sleep. There's a good lad.

Trust me Frijj, you don't have to worry about my head. Being a patronising bell end who knows nothing about football should worry you on a forum such as this, surely?

The standard in the Championship is the worst I’ve seen for years .

That said who knows but we’d expect to beat you at home and probably away , you need to spend big money to remotely compete in truth . Personally I don’t want yous to come up but if you do this squad you have will go straight back down. It’s not good like.

The Championship outside the top 2 is pretty average this season but to be honest you haven't got the first clue about us. 'This squad' is actually about half our squad.

We have three 6 foot plus centre halfs all injured (hamstring, knee injury etc.) hence us playing a very high risk passing game from the back. We also have our only real (6' 3") forward injured (ruptured achilles) hence Luton's goal yesterday as we only have 1 player of decent height in our entire fit squad!

Our captain has an ACL, his deputy is out until next season. Both our left backs are injured too. We are literally down to the bare bones in many areas of the pitch and are playing 7 or 8 kids every week, many of whom were probably signed with next season or longer in mind. We played 3 at the back yesterday with a player we signed as an attacking midfielder in the middle of the back three with 1 right back on the right and our other right back (formerly a midfielder prior to this season) playing on the left.

Of yesterday's team (13) who got minutes, 9 players were 23 or younger and that's only because our goalkeeper had his birthday this week.

Obviously we would have to sign players if we went up. But our team is battling against the odds, now 10 games unbeaten, playing amazing football and scoring great goals along the way. They have brilliant character and resilience and are a credit to our club.

Would I be happier wallowing in blood money, playing Beheaddie shithousery ball and 3rd in the premier league? I would ask you, would you be rather the entertainers again? Because you're certainly aren't now!

If you'd offered me what you have at the start of the season I probably would have taken it (even though I would be unhappy we'd sold out our soul to absolute twats). Now, I don't think I would. This team is amazing to watch, it's the best footballing side I've seen in my 45 years. We're on a journey, I love it 😄

So in your words a pretty average team are playing the best football in 45 years of you watching them ? Sorry but you are deluded. The football is rubbish Keith , you scraped into a play off place , injuries or whatever all teams have these problems, fact is compared to what I see yous are very poor. You may look easy on the eye but the standard you play against is garbage for a Championship . Diallo is the only one I’d be slightly interested in at my club .
Playing “amazing” football 😂 really ?

Except Newcastle have largely went from relegation candidates to having a fantastic season this year with largely the same team . Chelsea have spent a fortune and got worse . A heavy check book doesn't equal a decent team .

As I said, you're f***ing clueless.

For the record Diallo was rubbish for the first 30 minutes yesterday. He can be inconsistent but you wouldn't know. IMO he is no better than Jack Clarke (similar age) and Patrick Roberts who are both amazing to watch.

Of course we're playing at an average level but we are punching way above our weight with a team of kids. And doing it with swagger and style.

The Guardian, an independent source reckon we're playing 'thrilling football'. Can you find any similar quotes about your 'style'.

We are winning matches without our captain (who was having an excellent session) and vice captain (our player of the season) both 32, basically our 2 most influential players injured. Our star striker is crocked.

We are still great to watch and you are still a mag clown 🤡

What a load of bollox

So the standard in the championship when Newcastle were in (not that long ago) was outstanding?
