Jobe Bellingham - Signed

Nope, that’s a comment on a brand of football installed from the highest level which is working fine at the championship level but would get minced by better teams in the PL. Mowbray gets told what to play and coaches the players to fit a style and a formation, hence “head coach” and not “manager”.
Others, and I mean the vast majority, would argue that Mowbray has literally had to adapt and play, for example , a back three of 09, Gooch, and Hume. Imagine saying that at the start of the season and thinking we'd be in the position we are in. He's performed a minor miracle with the injuries we've had.

There's a reason I'm continuing to mention Mowbray to you. It's because you've consistently criticised unfairly throughout the season.

I can see why you're desperately trying to hide that now, but maybe you should consider a different account, or maybe just be a bit humble and admit you've been wrong.

Yes, we have a style of play which is agreed upon with people in higher positions than the head coach. The match to match tactics are obviously the head coaches responsibility. I don't think he'd have chosen to adapt so heavily to such an attacking formation if it wasn't for injuries.

So again, I'm struggling to understand the 'naive' comment which you made, regardless of who you were intending to criticise. The injuries have dictated the team and formation.

If we go up we have to play a 3 in midfield next season. You can’t be this reckless/naive/attacking/whatever you want to call it in the PL and get away with it. A 3 of Bellingham, ekwah and Neil behind Clarke, roberts and Stewart would be fantastic next season and really push us on. Just need a defence around Ballard
Whats your problem marra...

Problem? What’s wrong with my post exactly? How do you think playing this open would work in the PL exactly?

And how do you think this style of play would fare in the PL against all of those very strong teams?

I think our style of play is excellent. Proper footballing side.

What would you prefer? Luton? Millwall?

And I think our style of play should be continued for many years. How we fare in the Premier league would mainly depend on recruitment.

I’d prefer us to adapt once we go up. Which we will. We’ll go from being one of the better teams to one of the worst in the league by definition and we have to adapt. That’s what this thread is about - a signing for next season and how he may fit into the side. And being a PL side is a distinct possibility. We would naturally need to shore up the team somewhat and going 433 instead of 4231 is a key way of doing that. Hence the discussion. No idea where you got Mowbray from in all of that

While that is true I think in the future he will go for bigger money because of who his brother is as well.

Way too early to say. But he's not a regular in our team let alone yours.

You don’t bring him through the players entrance in full view of the world if he hasn’t basically already signed. Probably just not announcing anything until after the playoffs to not disrupt things. Massive signing and statement of intent if he does sign though, there’ll have been tons of premier league interest

Not trying too piss on your parade mate but there wasn't tons of interest. If there was, he would of gone the prem already. The interest from prem sides is in hall not jobe.

He's not ready to be a championship starter let alone prem.

Christ fella, have a day off.

We've just won a massive game, and you're instantly thinking about struggling next season and potential signings not working. Just enjoy yourself man.

King Mowbray knars what he's doing. Don't stress.

The reason I mentioned Mowbray is your fault, not mine, as I've explained. You deserve to be reminded for a long time how wrong you've been about him.

Also, the naive comment which you made was a thinly veiled dig at tactics, and as I've explained, the tactics are Mowbray's responsibility. So you did actually manage to criticise him, even when it's obvious his tactics have been outstanding recently despite a massive injury list.

I see the Bellingham signing as just a continuation of our 'model'. Doesn't matter which league we are going to be in.

Think you’ll regret that comment in a year or two. Looks a real prospect whenever I’ve seen him. Time will tell i guess

If we were to go up we need to have adequate cover for every position. One recognised defender in the side today! We wouldn’t get away with that in the premier league.

You’re drunk and desperate to have a go at someone, so you’re imagining comments that haven’t happened. Time for bed, get on ignore mate. No idea what you’re even arguing in favour of or against

No doubt about that, but think we’d be close to a very competitive 11, with a couple of defensive reinforcements. The squad depth is a different kettle of fish mind

Whole debate is about next season on here. Probably not the thread for you if you aren’t interested in that.

Without going through the whole thread how does he play? Is he any good like his brother? I'd be happy to have him here like if he is half as decent as his brother is. He has been to a few of our games, something in it otherwise why turn up and watch? Signing in the summer no doubt.

Know nowt about him. He came on for Brum down in front of us in the west stand and we thought he's a very big lad. Didn't do a great deal in the time he was on the pitch iirc. Trust the recruitment fellas I guess, they obviously know him very well.

Video knocking around where Sartori seems to say ‘yes, yes’ in answer to the are we signing him question. Facebook I think it was, lost it now

Weird one like as I thought big clubs would just snap him up for his genes alone, as it’s a bit of a no brainer signing him for nowt and hoping he’s a fraction of the player his brother is.

Mind…I thought Ricardo Gabbiadini was going to be class. Just cos he looked like his Marco. 🙈
