There’s a train strike on ya knaOh ffs. Bastards. Alternative plans lads?
It's Guards striking today, aye Metro's previous issues with the strikes were because of the Signallers as you say, they've agreed a paydeal so at workMetros running as normal, seen it confirmed on Nexus Twitter and elsewhere. Think it's because the signalmen aren't on strike for this one, only drivers? Think that's always been reason why metros have been off on previous strikes, Nexus not involved but Northern Rail still have responsibility for signals on the Heworth -South Hylton part of line, so can't run metros on it. Was similar for Boxing Day game, was rail strike that day but metros were on, as was mainly the drivers unions involved

Why would the people of a blue collar city fucked over by the Tories not support trade union action of a group of workers fucked over by the Tories? Why would the train drivers, who are blue collar workers, screw over a city like Sunderland, a blue collar city? Both have a history of dirty hands an callouses. Go and screw the financial sector.
