Tickets (Playoffs H & A)

I got a ticket but was unable to get one for a child as could not get 2 together. It is not common sense. I could have gone on the site much earlier but when I went on yesterday it said you cannot access the ticket site until 12pm

It did not say that you could access it earlier and queue it said you would not be granted access until 12pm
That is wrong.
It didn’t say that at all

“All supporters registered to SAFC’s ticketing database will be able to purchase up to four tickets in the remaining seats from 12noon on Thursday 11 May.

Please be advised that the fixture will be removed from sale from 10am-12noon on Thursday 11 May to allow time to release any season ticket seats not purchased during phase one”

How did you think a website would handle 10,000+ people all trying to buy tickets at the exact same time?

'From 12 noon'

I've ended up with double the number of tickets I need!! the website crashed during initial purchase. No email received so I re-purchased and then both sets of emails came through together

The queue isn’t even a guaranteed thing with the site, had the demand been 15 people trying to buy a ticket it all would have been fine. The queue was put in place by ticketmaster due to how many people were wanting tickets

Yeah but there was no guidance when you could queue from .
I went on the night before and could not get to the ticket site
Because there is no set time, ticketmaster see how many people are on the site. Once the number hits a certain point they put the queue in because they know anymore people at once would crash the site

PURCHASE and FROM 12 NOON being the main points here.

No-one said you couldn't visit the site before then?

If its the first time you have ever bought a ticket for a popular event online then yes you can complain

If they didn't have the queueing system the ticket sites would just fall over with everyone all trying to access at the same time
Bought tickets for festivals, noteably Glastonbury, and don't recall the system being open until the exact opening time. Refreshing constantly to get my place in the queue.

If they queue opens 45mins before the opening time, then just say that. Its not hard.

Tbf, there's never any guidance on any digital ticketing system (such as gigs, shows etc) ever. You just go on and try for the queue for stuff going on sale when feels right for you.
So has been the way for online tickets sales worldwide for years
