Incorrect48,353 is the record at the SoL back in 2002. We’ve never got above the 47,000s since even with multiple sellouts.
Oh definitely.
That is simply the way it's done. I've never said it should or could be done now. However, normal trading flows are a completely different order of magnitude in the PL, when it could become desirable and possible. You're making unwarranted objections about what was a theoretical response. If it ever were to happen, that's the way it would have to be done. It's as simple as that.
I mentioned them in previous post P26 has 160 seats and P24 has 307 seats so half is 150ish. but then you deduct 2 rows from the bottom tier.What about P24 ( appox 330 ) and P26 ( 166) and P25 ( 130 ) Theres another 600 ?
I mentioned them in previous post P24 has 307 seats and half of P26 160 so 80ish. but then you deduct 2 rows from the bottom tier.
That’s just home fans. Over 44 k sold altogetherI thought Hettonlass said 43k were sold?
The stadium has never had a 49000 capacityOk mate. 'Last post on this.
Have a look at the accounts of most top flight clubs, including SAFC's when last in that division, they're struggling to pay their current bills. I think something like 75% of SAFC's revenue went on player wages, that's before match day costs, capital expenditure, non playing staff and so on. There is no money left over for extending the ground or repaying the finance on that extension.
There is no evidence in SAFC's history that we could fill a 49,000 ground every week, let alone a 60,000 ground, and so a club struggling to turn a profit would be hoying money down the drain by extending the ground thereby guaranteeing financial unsustainability.
We'd need a benefactor like Man City's who pours money in to get us into Europe and then maybe.
It's as simple as that.
44500 great turn out
Wonder if the players will be able to handle the pressure
47350 v StokeWhat’s our biggest Championship crowd since the move to the SoL??
Yes, but that would be the equivalent of us extending to around 120,000. Completely irrelevant.This. I watched Celta Vigo playing at home last night in front of 11,600 and they've just increased their capacity to 32,000. It looked absolutely pathetic.
When have we been into the 48,000s since the Reidy days? The stadium simply doesn’t have that many seats available for sale now.Incorrect

With Watford having some decent fans in UK soccer alongside Noriwch, I see no reason why our fans can't go their end for a chat and ask where they got their DrWho scarfs made.
100% thisIts all part of the learning curve for them, but to be fair, we need to be 100% behind them not putting 'pressure' on them. They have done us proud so far and if we fall short it won't be for lack of effort.
Yeah pretty much spot onApologies @DiscopantsSoL , I had missed that post.
But you would agree that there are approx 3,500 seats in that area , which are not available to Sunderland fans ? 307 + 160 + the front rows + 2891 = 3500
So our non segragated capacity ( as I included the segragation seats ) of 48,339 less that 3,500 ( unavailable to us ) added to the 900 Watford , would make a sellout of around 45,700
Unless a way is found to open up more seats to our fans up there.
Kid for a quid.Ok mate. 'Last post on this.
