I've just checked. We hadn't won in 8 games. Getting beat off teams like Burton and Leicester under21's in the tinpot trophy. 33,000 was actually a good turnout consideringParkinson was manager then if my dates are correct. That explains a big chunk of it. We were playing turgid footy as you say. At least the year before (at the point of boxing day) auto promotion looked fairly likely.
Stadium doesn't even hold 49,000. Dunno why people say that.
Anly a couple of thousand off that now. And it's only Monday. I think it'll reach over 45,000 easily if they open the lot up. Still 5 days to sell43154

Yep. Year before we were sat 2nd in the table at boxing day.I've just checked. We hadn't won in 8 games. Getting beat off teams like Burton and Leicester under21's in the tinpot trophy. 33,000 was actually a good turnout considering

Whee? He's not, that's one thing he did brilliantly anyone who thinks he didn't are deranged.
Yeah I'd imagine at full capacity it would be around that. But take away the segregation and the 1,000 seats at the front of the away end they never sell these days. Around 47,500 would be a sell out. And that bit at the back of the Premier Concourse surely took a good chunk of seats out of the capacity as well. If you look next game. The Stadium of Light’s current capacity of 48,707 makes the club’s home the ninth-biggest football ground in England.
Not arguing with you, just going off what the club say which is about as official as you can get.
No idea how old that figure is mind and as you say probably a bit less than that now.
Covid? People had nee money? So why did we only sell 33k for the boxing day game the following season? Which was only an additional 3,200 or so more than the previous home game. Compared to the Bradford game which was 17k more than the previous home game.
It will be people swapping their ST seat for one in the PC.1 random seat opened up in East stand so nabbed it for a mate who was after a lower bowl ticket.
Why are random ones dropping back, people keeping them in baskets or something then timing out?
It had absolutely everything to do with it ffs.Covid? People had nee money?
F..k knaars im sure fannny book or twattwer had owt to do with it man
Only ends are concessionsThat ticket site is winding me up now likeThey've opened another block up with about 40 seats available with no concessions
I know. I'm saying there's no concessions in middle blocks so why they not opening the end ones now. As there's only a few left in the one with concessions in now. Its backward behaviourOnly ends are concessions
They are building up the demand....
possibly.
