Had the knackers opened up all the upper tier yesterday, most of the concourse would be full by now.

They should open sections offering concessions asap. At present £35 for kids is just silly

Shouldn’t need to market a game of football for your own supporters. If you support the club then you should know who and when we are playing

The Stadium of Light’s current capacity of 48,707 makes the club’s home the ninth-biggest football ground in England.

Not arguing with you, just going off what the club say which is about as official as you can get.

No idea how old that article or quoted figure is mind and as you say maybe a bit less than that now.

Pretty sure it was reduced to under 48k when they installed the press box at the back of the concourse, moved a few seats around in other places etc.

If we were successful we would easily pull over 60k.

Bizarre the number of single empty seats at our home games usually in between season ticket holders in the East and North stands, which I am assuming is where most of the long-term ST holders sit from when the ground first opened.

There is 2 seats next to ours in the east stand that have been empty all season, yet are never available on the ticket site, so must be season card holders that just havent attended a home game all season
