Hartlepool United

Salford stopped trying after half an hour, they didn't need to push themselves and had their mind on the weekend. Hartlepool keeper made several good saves, I don't recall a save made by the Salford keeper. Very concerning what I saw last night. For a side "fighting", to stay in the football league, there wasn't a tackle in anger or any sort of aggression shown all night. Stats are very deceiving and it was a classic case of Salford just ticking over last night. Very frustrating

That all stacks up. Fighting for the cause is an absolute minimum requirement as we know in football and for a team that is in a relegation battle and clearly lacking quality, it is one of the very few areas that they can gain an advantage over teams higher placed in the division. I noticed Hartlepool only picked up two bookings and both in the second-half (which is sometimes a good gauge about the level of commitment / fight) by which time the game was as good as lost by the sounds of it. Some say 2-0 is the worst lead in football which is bull**** ... Salford wouldn't have been able to just tick over at 1-0!

The signs are not good. Bookies have Pools at 2/7 to go down. The main hope on Saturday is Crawley's dreadful away record. Pools fans won't put up with a lack of commitment from their team, especially at home. "Must win game" is a term vastly over used in football but on Saturday that is exactly what Pools face.

Final word to you and your fellow Hartlepool fans who went to Salford last night. 500 (nearly 25% of the attendance) is outstanding support, all things considered. Top effort!

Thanks, it was a frustrating evening but go again on Saturday.

I think emotions are starting to spill over with a certain tweet of a photo of the owner being deleted last night

Only need to win by 1 at the weekend to go above crawley on goals scored. Walsall just sacked their manager too so will have a bounce for crawleys last home game

Even if Pools stayed up, they would probably only go down next season with 25 points. Without any proper infrastructure or mission statement in place, they will always struggle.

Tough in the lower league, welcome to the other side.
Hope they stay up, will be genuinely gutted if they went down. A few on here know I have a soft spot for them.
Their fans like myself always have a belief that one day it will start to get better.

Only today we have a director that has failed the fit and proper test, Ex money laundering history. I knew this 18 months ago.
You just never know what is round the corner but lower clubs fans are as passionate and loyal as any Sunderland fan, that is fact.

UTP.

How Bizarre........Went to the Salford debacle and was stood next to a young Lad whose second team, like me is the Mighty Hartlepools.....,, He was off on Wednesday down to Swansea to support his first Team Preston North End and recommended to all Mackems on the last day of the season The Grey Friar Wetherspoons as a cracking pub for food and cheap beer!!!!

Ha'way the Lads and Up The Pools!!!!!

Congrats on your win last night against us. I thought you belong in the 'better than your league position suggests' pile on the other night's showing.

Where’s the best place to park for Victoria Park? The Morrisons ok? Only ever done it on the train previously.
I booked a space at Asda when I went for the orient game, think it cost me £2 and straight out onto the main road after the match.
Morrisons is ideal, it's free to park and is just around the corner/adjacent to the ground, but you'll only be allowed to park there for a maximum of 3 hours, iirc.
Didn’t realise Morrisons was free but makes sense seeing how packed it was!

Take it to the last day

Last day is Stockport Away so no joy there....just gotta hope beyond hope we beat Crawley and Barrow at home ....then hope the Creepy Crawlies do feck all in their fixtures!!!!!

We were absolutely clueless away to Newport and Salford so not holding out much hope...... , even against Crawley who are by far the worst team I have seen this Season.

I always park next to subway and costa by the marina. Loads of empty units and stacks of free parking spaces. 5 minutes from the the vic. The supermarket car parks are time limited I thin.

We have been poor recently, to be fair Bradford came for the win that made it a very open game. You can see why you are up there.
Technically we are good. Physically soft as shite.
You should make the play offs 👍

Next to the museum opposite Morrisons, shops etc. Free parking.
Ohh look at me I’ve travelled up to Hartlepool- pathetic.

Behind the Pools Saturday, hope you do it.

If we beat the Creepies last game keeping you up, next season at Hartlepool could be a cracking day out. Dancing on the tables in the Globe.
Gan on daft Swindon lad 😂😂🥊⚽

You will beat Barrow, our away form is dreadful. Honestly Barrow will be your easiest game you have left.
