The Safety of Fans in the North Stand

If you have a suitable address / addressee - and perhaps a template of appropriate wording - then I'd ask it's shared on here.

The club have failed to suitably protect it's own fans despite repeated warnings and I'd be happy to embarrass and put pressure on certain people in the hierarchy until they take stronger and decisive action.

Supporters in the north stand should be reporting this to the HSE en masse. Then when there is a serious injury, the club will not have any excuses. As for a template I think there is more impact if everyone puts it in their own words, so it can't be dismissed as a coordinated campaign.

Where the fans can be moved to might be out of the clubs direct control, but a £20k safety net is something that could be in place in weeks.

Put them at north end of East Stand. Have proper security checks.
I'd have them anywhere before putting them behind either goal, we should always have the advantage of kicking towards our own fans for the full 90 minutes. I can't get my head around anyone wanting them back in the south stand.

Sign for something that is not the petition.
Aye that will work.

Can we all sign a petition for me to bonk Kelly Brook and if that fails I might get Kylie 🤔
I’ll sign for you. It sounds like you could do with a shag as you’ve been relentless on this thread and could better spend your time.

I want the fans moving and I doubt it’ll happen soon so at least bringing it to the clubs attention via a petition may get another option implemented that will reduce the risk prior to someone getting seriously hurt or worse.
Why would I sign when personally I don't want them moving, although if the club want to do this then that's fine. There is markedly less bother with them up there if the club address this issue (these owners have done zero ti show they are better than the last off the pitch and with investing in the club).
Thankfully I moved from the north stand some years ago. If I still sat there I'd be writing to my MP and the H&S exec as as we all know it's evident their is scope for serious harm.
Which is you prerogative as you’ve removed yourself from the situation and are safe.

Where are the stewards/police manning the gates where the away fans get in and should be searched to prevent flares (not trousers ) being confiscated ?
In the south strand searching my handbag every week. A 50 year old woman whose bag is smaller than the pockets on teenagers coats yet I get searched every week. Security is a joke.

The time to do this was before ST for next season went on sale. That horse has now bolted. The club need to either install Perspex sheets at the front of the concourse or install netting.
a flare would set the net on fire
I would assume, as with surfers and flags, they need to be fire retardant etc.

I’ve made three posts
One of which was asking where we are moving them too?
The other showing the sillyness of not actual having a structured petition covering a few bases.
Bu yeah, relentless…..
assume that was the best comeback you had to my counter argument.

Not normally fussed about it - people's choice and all that - but yesterday was embarrassing. What's going on in peoples heads?
Agree ,I set first row of upper tier so they shuffle past me
You come to hopefully see a good game
It was all of what you want ,it's Saturday ,you have ample time to get away etc
Nice bit after Match entertainment too chanting You're just a s..t Aston villa to their fans as they came out

I watched it from my seat in the roker end the amount of stewards up there after the event makes me wonder how much a net would cost as they are surely paying for extra stewarding every game as there was a steward what looked like every step up every walk way that can't be cheap times 23 games?.

There'll be hell on if Huddersfield fans hoy one over. Disgusting how many seasons this has been going on for. Utter disdain and contempt shown toward our own people

The club will be flapping like mad behind the scenes ahead of Tuesday. As you say, if something comes over, people will just lose it.

I know it’s a small thing but the online petition probably has them concerned as well as it could be picked up in the press.

I guess this has already been posted. But belt and braces.
This has only got 600 signatures when there was over 30k there yesterday who surely all agree that the club needs to take action. Not everyone wants to see the away fans moved for various reasons. I'm sure if that if the petition demands the club takes immediate action by either moving the fans, putting up a screen or installing a net more people would sign.

I haven't read the petition as the post said it was to move the fans. I disagree with that so obviously won't sign it.
If it asked the club to take immediate action by installing a net, screen or moving the fans I'd sign in a heartbeat.

If the the petition said 'immediate action is needed now with all possibilities for a safe solution to be considered' what would your thought on signing it then be?
