The Safety of Fans in the North Stand

It's not going to happen. I've just told you it's apparently been rejected by the council and police. Like somebody else also posted.... trouble is allegedly down 60% since they moved.

People need to accept they aren't going back in the south stand.

This
Some are going on like teenage bairns

There's no point though, I'm not an expert in law but the club will just reply that they had discussions with the police and council and they approved their safety certificate and are doing x, y and z. It'll be instantly thrown out in court if you even managed to get it there.

Unless your planning to take Northumbria Police to court aswell but good luck with that.
No judge will look at anything on the basis that damage might happen. There's nothing to pin liability on.

The point is not to “take them to court”.

But up the ante on them if they fail to take action - effective action which brings this to a stop - and then something happens

It is like a chess move

The worst happens and then SAFC dispute liability and then argue over quantum of damages

But if the fans have a formal letter on record pointing to incidents A B C D E and stating they don’t think current measures are effective, does the club agree and therefore what is the club doing about it?

And then the club ignores it

They risk having the book thrown at them

And that could include personal responsibility for senior staff and Board members

Which should concentrate minds - unless they are determined to be thick

After today and seeing the mother with her disabled kid in tears, having to leave the ground it's gone too far man.... Couldn't care less about any arguments of location, they need to move them asap.

I’ve already moved my family for next season mate. I’ve had the same seats for years but it’s not worth the aggro anymore

I saw the disabled fan leaving and it was heartbreaking.

Where the fuck is the club statement highlighting the bellend behaviour? It’s almost like they are embarrassed

Ask the police and sAG who have said no. @Guinness Guzzler will be better placed than me to explain im sure.

But I think they've said there's far less trouble with them where they are now.
Far less trouble and increased risk of a fan in the North Lower being seriously injured.... I'll just take the club are happy with that risk then.

Say again at the Coventry match a fan could have been killed if the glass bottle had struck them on the head. Nothing was made of it in general, and it's been swept under the carpet. Shit show from the club and people making these decisions.

Was the milky bar kid & young Taverners around ? Seemed to be large police presence
They got nicked after the fracas outside the Wheatsheaf following the Luton game, and are banned from coming within about half a mile of the SoL on matchdays until their case is heard.

Sadly, things will only change when someone is seriously hurt. All season items have landed in the NS and the club have done nothing

This. If nobody is majorly injured then nothing will change as it will cost money to do anything to prevent this kind of thing and the ownership just won’t or don’t have it to spend
