The Safety of Fans in the North Stand

Aye it’s all well and good arresting people after the game but it should be preventing not acting after ffs.

If they can’t guarantee the safety of fans beneath then they need to seriously consider moving them back down to the lower bowl.

Lawsuit for what? Nothings happened yet, luckily for the club and fans. With the way the British legal system works there’s nothing we can do until someone gets injured

I agree entirely and the main question I’ve asked of Steve Neil multiple times. I suspect it’s because the fan will agree to a banning order without the need for evidence and a court appearance and that all fiasco and it’s an easy life for the police
You see how fast you replyed to my post, just imagine the club seeing that, the very idea of a lawsuit, just need someone who may have been effected today, and jobs a good one. 👍

Totally agree. We need to self police it if any come from our end. I’d have no qualms dragging a little scroate to the coppers if he set one off next to me and my 80 year old nan. Have no qualms about giving them a kicking either tbf

Issue is, there’s countless examples of people on this very forum who love this pyro shit.

It baffles me like as it’s only coloured smoke

What gets me is, why don't those compromised, by this group toghther and do that very said thing, legal action, the club will sharp take notice, if a group decides to hit them with a law suit.

If the police / council have approved it, not sure you can take action against the club.

Surely it would go against the person who threw the smoke bomb instead. If I got punched in a nightclub, I can't blame the nightclub even known the nightclub got them drunk.

maybe, but you could also, use it as bad public relations, getting it into the media, etc.

They need to do something. It’s ridiculous it’s got to this stage
it will be down to how much it costs, as i think everyone well knows, if it was going to be cheep to fix it, and get rid of the problem do you not think they would of already done it by now.
So it comes down to what the fan's are prepaired to do about it.

The Council issue the ground safety certificate, are there any grounds for getting them to review it?
The Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974 is the primary piece of legislation covering occupational health and safety in Great Britain. It's sometimes referred to as HSWA, the HSW Act, the 1974 Act or HASAWA. It sets out the general duties which: employers have towards employees and members of the public.10 Feb 2020, best way to go about it.

The problem is, both will attract negative attention and the club don't want it. We could shift the aways in the summer but it costs money

If the aways are to stay in the NSU then the police bill needs to be doubled. The club also has to be much nastier

It must be cheaper to hang a net across than to move the away fans to elsewhere in the stadium. Logical, common sense - would appear no gives fuck about these things anymore.

so the fan's in question need to give the negative attention the club don't want in other ways, maybe if RAWA and the rest put out a media statement about it, into the local and national press, see if that gets the clubs attention.

This for me, I dont normally moan at the club for things but the response they gave to the recent incidents regarding the missiles coming down from the away end is pathetic.

FWIW i think the upper north is the best place for them, in the lower bowl it makes them really loud when they bring a big following and when its a poor following the ground looks shit.

Pay the f***ing money and put a plastic screen up, it stops it immediatley.
