CC :: Durham v Worcestershire

Apparently the Somerset one day cup game is at South North

I don’t actually have an issue with that. There have been good crowds at the last 2, and people I know who would generally have no interest went along and enjoyed the day. If we can get new supporters and even members from games like this, then that’s a good thing, surely?

I know I may be in the minority on here.

I appreciate the argument that if we are going to play on outgrounds, they should be in Co Durham. But I’m not aware of any clubs willing to put themselves forward for this, or who have the facilities to manage 1500-2000 crowds we might get for a one day game.

I’d also like to think that we might someday play in Scotland or Cumbria. We have 2 Scottish internationals in the squad and 3 Cumbrians (if you include Lord Stokes).

(Dons flameproof suit)
Ha’way lads, let’s have a couple of quick wickets 😁

I used to be against it but have enjoyed my visits up to Gosforth so no issue really from me.

Well if this Campbell fella isn't interested in draws, he may need to have words with the groundstaff about the pitch because this is absolutely turgid & speaking to people they are anxious this could be another 2022 bore fest. Worcester have declared on 366/5 after 110 overs

It will he interesting to see how the Kookaburra balls do when they are used this season. Can't do worse than these Dukes.
