CC :: Sussex v Durham

Been out for a couple of hours. I suppose this is an improvement on 67/5 but barring a miracle from the last two wickets we don't have anywhere near enough to defend on this wicket.

Disagree, the likes of Potts, Carse, Coughlin, Raine, Glover, Bas de Leede, McAlindon, Gibson give us more than enough in that department. And batting looks strong. 100% not a poor squad.
You can not be serious. The last four named unproven at 1st class level with Carse and Coughlin having a history of injuries. We've got no depth in our bowling whatsoever

Bring back Franklin.

No wait, it'll never get that bad.
First season was decent.

This. Scoreboard has been on the blue and yellow Koolaid I fear. Potts and Raine are both decent and consistent, the rest are one or other or neither, or white ball specialists. Gibson was poor last season.

And Bushnell and Killeen. The two Dutchies need to step up, but they are frontline bowlers and weren't signed to play 2nds.

Matt Salisbury is an honest pro but has hardly played the last couple of years, he's not a massive loss.

How many 'proven' 1st class seamers do you want us to carry then? Always has to be room for the ones coming through, you can't just bloat the squad out with plodders.

Do you call Raine carse and Potts uncommited for playing the 100
I've got no problem with the players doing so and the others who didn't get selected. That's part and parcel of cricket with players. The head coach is the person who runs the team, he shouldn't be taking on other jobs during the season. He simply wasn't committed to Durham and was taking us massively backwards. Results under him were not good enough, there were clear signs of decline under him.
